ORIENT EXPRESSNET is back and better than before! I have tried to make this one faster, easier to use, look nicer, have more content and it works properly in both
IE5 and
Netscape 4.7 which if you're not using, you can download from the
help page above. It works at a screen size of 800 by 600, but will still look normal at higher screen resolutions. Plus, if you use different font sizes with IE5, it won't ruin the layout like the last one!
If there is anything you'd like to ask or suggest about this site, or if you'd like to submit a match report then you're most welcome to email me at thepope@orientexpressnet.co.uk and I will respond. Also, as I am still in the process of organising a photo shoot for all the regulars on the OriNet message board, any new photos are most welcome. Please email me high quality jpeg's if possible - thanx!
Having gone a goal down after 17 minutes Orient fought back with a second half equaliser from the head of Ronnie Gould. Playing without most of the first team, it was a chance for trialists and youth team players to stake their claims for a first team place for the coming season. Report will be up soon.
Leyton Orient have denied reports in many of the Sunday papers today claim that Matthew Lockwood has moved to Millwall for a fee of £350,000. Lockwood has supposedly been on trial at Millwall on their trip to Germany in which they didn't get to play any games after they were called off. It was expected that this would hamper the move as they were thought to have wanted to see him play first.
Orient suffered their first defeat in their build up to the new season with a home reverse against a strong Spurs side that took over an hour to break the deadlock.
Spurs opened the scoring after 62 minutes when Simon Davies was provided with a chance by Iverson and the lead was doubled with a speculative lobbed goal on 73 minutes.
Barnet have agreed to groundshare at Brisbane Road if they get promoted back from the Conference this season as their ground is not up the FA's regulations.
If they don't get promoted it won't mean any difference, but Barnet were anxious to make sure that they don't start the season knowing that the rules mean they can't get promoted.
Having been the target of lots of attention from Millwall, Steve Watts has put pen to paper today on a three year deal to keep him at Brisbane Road until the end of the 2004/05 season.
