Leyton Orient Win Automatic Promotion!
No Orient fan present at Oxford United on May 6th 2006 will forget the unbelievable scenes as news came through in the 95th minute that Grimsby had conceded an equaliser, followed seconds later by Lee Steele's Goal to win the game and confirm Orient's first automatic promotion in 36 years.
In tribute to this famous day, I am happy to host/link to any photos and video clips possible as a collection guaranteed to stir the memories of the 4,603 Os fans present and to give a piece of the action to those unfortunate enough not to be able to make the game, plus the joyous scenes at Leyton's Birkbeck Tavern that continued into the early hours.
